Somewhere in your team a spreadsheet has quietly become the system: everyone depends on it, one person understands it, nothing backs it up. This course is about recognising that moment and moving on from it deliberately.

  1. 1.The spreadsheet audit

    1.5 hrs

    Finding the spreadsheets that have become systems, and being honest about which ones are load-bearing.

    • Identify the load-bearing spreadsheets in your team

  2. 2.Choosing the replacement

    1.5 hrs

    The smallest real system that does the job, chosen against requirements rather than habit.

  3. 3.The migration

    1.5 hrs

    Moving the data and the process while the work keeps running, with the team rather than to them.

    • Plan a migration that does not break the team

  4. 4.Retiring it for good

    0.5 hrs

    Read-only, archived, and a named owner for the new thing - so the old file cannot quietly return.

How it is delivered

A facilitator runs the course live, in person or live online. Attendance is taken per session, participants submit work against the modules above, and a facilitator grades it. Those records stay with the organisation and can be exported.
