Prompt Repair Shop

Your child will learn to communicate purposefully with AI, giving it the context and limits it needs while staying responsible for the result. Repairing a fictional museum-sign request lets them compare vague instructions with a clear, testable brief.

This lesson is being prepared for our family pilot. Paid enrolment opens after the launch review. The four free activities are available now.

Your child will practise useful AI skills.

Your child will learn to write a clear request and check whether its output meets the brief.

Your child can read or listen to instructions, try each activity and use the feedback to improve. They can pause, return and retry at their own pace.

Instruction and sorting games are simplified simulations. Following a fixed sequence is different from an AI model learning patterns from examples.

Your child will learn through guided play.

Your child will work through three guided activities, then apply the skill to a fresh challenge. Feedback explains their choices and helps them try again.

  1. Explain who the sign is for and what it needs to say.
  2. Put the steps for improving a request in order.
  3. Check whether the draft follows the instructions.
  4. Write a clear request for a different sign.

Your child will try a new challenge to show how they can use what they have practised.

Your child will create something of their own.

My before-and-after prompt

Your child will keep an original request, an improved version and a comparison of the results. Reading the sign aloud helps them check whether it suits its intended visitors.

You’ll be able to download their written record and see their progress in your family space.
