Silly Robot Detective

Your child will learn an early habit of critical thinking: a robot can sound sure and still be wrong. By investigating Pip’s picture mix-ups, they’ll practise checking evidence and recognising when they don’t yet have enough information to know.

This lesson is being prepared for our family pilot. Paid enrolment opens after the launch review. The four free activities are available now.

Your child will practise useful AI skills.

Your child will learn to check a claim against something you can see.

You’ll read and play together, help with the controls and join the offline activity. Each lesson can be split into short sessions.

Instruction and sorting games are simplified simulations. Following a fixed sequence is different from an AI model learning patterns from examples.

Your child will learn through guided play.

Your child will work through three guided activities, then apply the skill to a fresh challenge. Feedback explains their choices and helps them try again.

  1. Look at the picture to check Pip’s answer.
  2. Check what is inside the picnic basket.
  3. Decide what you need to check first.
  4. Check Pip’s answer about a new picture.

Your child will try a new challenge to show how they can use what they have practised.

Your child will create something of their own.

My detective drawing

Your child will draw a silly mistake, correct it and explain what they checked. You can practise together by giving a toy the wrong name.

You’ll be able to download their written record and see their progress in your family space.
