The EU AI Act is the European Union's law on how artificial intelligence (AI) is built and used. Article 4 is its AI literacy duty. AI literacy means the skills, knowledge and understanding people need to use AI with judgement: what a tool can do, where it goes wrong and what they must check. Since national regulators began enforcing Article 4 in August 2026, "what did managers tell their teams about AI?" is a question with consequences.
What has changed
